Thomas Vivaldelli

Thomas Vivaldelli has more than 30 years experience in real estate and mortgage financing. He has extensive experience in banking, commercial real estate and workouts of single and portfolio real estate assets, with a proven track record of achieving results quickly. Since 2001 he has been the founder and managing director of Distressed Real Solutions, LLC, where he returns commercial real estate projects to profitability and facilitates appropriate exit strategies. In this role he has assembled, structured and closed transactions valued at more than $1.5 billion using various financial tools. Mr. Vivaldelli has worked numerous cases in bankruptcy and has served as a court-appointed trustee in the Ninth District. He is also a principal of Property Recovery, LLC, a firm that acts as trustee and asset facilitator for regulated institutions.

Prior to founding Distressed Real Solutions, Mr. Vivaldelli was Vice President and manager with GMAC Mortgage, where he first restored the Chicago office to profitability and later established and developed the Phoenix operation for GMAC Commercial. He also worked for for Heller Financial, where he was Senior vice President in charge of Midwest production and managed the recovery of a $400 million distressed real estate portfolio in the firm’s largest region.

Mr. Vivaldelli started his career with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago as a Senior Bank Holding examiner focused on mortgage banking and leveraged leasing activities.

He is a Certified Turnaround Professional and former Director of the Arizona chapter of the Turnaround Management Associations (TMA). Additional professional memberships include ULI, M&A Roundtable of Phoenix and the Union League Club of Chicago. Mr. Vivaldelli carries a real estate broker’s license for Arizona, Illinois, Utah, California and Hawaii.

He has an MBA in finance and investments and bachelors’ degree from Western Illinois University.
