Ron Thomas

Ron Thomas has more than 35 years of experience in commercial real estate as an asset manager, broker, consultant and expert witness. He has been working with Prime Locations for the past 9 years, helping clients to dispose of excess property. In one case, he helped a company in bankruptcy dispose of almost 50 sites across 8 states, generating close to $60 million in cash. On another bankruptcy assignment, Ron helped a real estate investment company quickly monetize complicated holdings that included a boutique hotel and condominium project.

Prior to his work with Prime Locations, Mr. Thomas was a commercial real estate broker for eight years, during which time he closed more than 50 transactions valued in excess of $50 million. Before that, Mr. Thomas operated a real estate advisory and expert witness service, conducting “Highest and Best Use” analysis in cases of eminent domain. Over eight years, he made dozens of court appearances to deliver and defend analysis that reviewed property values and how to provide just compensation to the original owners.

Mr. Thomas started his career as an asset manager with NationsBank, where he managed a $250 million portfolio of real estate assets over a period of six years.

Mr. Thomas has a real estate license in Texas and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) as well as a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors. Mr. Thomas is active in several trade organizations, including the Turnaround Management Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Mr. Thomas received his BA in Business Administration and Economics from Austin College.
